‘Feasting’ over sumptuous meals is a common term for us Davaoenos whenever we are asked to describe our Kadayawan season. With the left and right promos and events on this yearly special celebration, food is indeed that ‘one thing’ that we never miss!
As me and my friends searched for a place to dine in last Kadayawan, we bumped into Cena Modern Bistro, a restaurant inside Home Crest Hotel in Ecoland. Their dinning area is situated at the right side just upon you enter the hotel lobby. For now, they are planning to expand their dining experience as they open its roof deck for diners. Lucky for us since we are first of the few people there to experience it ahead.
These are some of the main courses that we have tried that night.
My favorite dish out of the three is the Baby Back Ribs which is priced at 390 pesos. I love how it was so well-cooked that I could easily chew its meat. You would also know that it was well marinated because its juice, herbs and spices can be tasted in every bite. To add, the red wine sauce on the side perfectly gave a bounce to its flavor. If I were to rate it, I would definitely give that dish a 4.2/5.
