To visit Disneyland is one of the biggest dream for many. This is the place where our childhood dreams started. The place that opened our eyes to an imaginary world where magic and fairy tales exist. The place that took our hearts with infinite joy and the only place that made us believe that dreams do come true.
Surely, a day at Hong Kong Disneyland would be long as well as the number of shows, rides and attractions to be visited. So for you to manage your stay and enjoy your whole magical experience, I am giving you here the top 5 things that you should not miss at Hong Kong Disneyland.
1.) It’s a Small World
is a whimsical boat ride with over 300 audio-animatronic children in traditional costumes around the globe singing harmoniously for international unity and global peace as the title itself portrays. Also, this is the largest indoor attraction at Hong Kong Disneyland.

Be still my young heart.

Exterior design of the attraction. When the smiling face of Glockenspiel clock ticks, the dolls beneath it march in the tune of “It’s a Small World”

Can’t help but be amazed of everything that’s moving here.

Jungle themed area. I have seen Mowgli but wasn’t able to take a shot of him. Fact is, 38 Disney characters are also present such as Aladdin, Cinderella, Ariel, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Snow white and etc. Of course, in their Mary Blair doll versions.

The whole ride is soft and cozy so mobile phones and gadgets are allowed.

“Kay liit lang ng mundo, ang mundo natin..” Yes! You heard it right! In every area of this boat ride, the lyrics change in accord to the nation’s official dialect.

Konichiwa, Japan! Hope to see you soon!

Waka Waka eh eh

Feeling lucky with these clovers around me.

The happiest cruise that sailed around the world for real.
2.) Caramel flavored Popcorn
You can definitely taste these caramel glazed popcorn in the air, like EVERYWHERE in the themed park! Let your taste buds celebrate in festivity with this tasty snack, that’s a guarantee! Get this for just 30 HKD.

The best tasting popcorn ever.
3) The Festival of the Lion King
Me and my brother cannot miss this one, our favorite Disney animated film aside from Tarzan! Acrobats, singers, and other performers in their tribal attire and vibrant costumes enact the scenes enthusiastically. The show is scheduled to play four times a day at 12pm, 2:30pm, 4:30pm and 6pm.

Pumba and Timon conquering the stage to the tune of Circle of Life.

Simba standing high with pride.
4.)Paint the Night Parade
Unleash your imagination when these Disney Characters light up the night and excite your heart. The parade starts at 8pm just right in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle.

Woody, you are supposed to ride on a cow, not on a dog!

King Triton with her daughter, Ariel; finally out from the sea.

Tinkerbell looking for Peter Pan at the crowd.

Belle and her glowing gold gown stood out the most for me that night.

James of Monster Inc. striking his pose.

Nice to meet you here, Mack! It must have been a long ride? I guess.

Lightning McQueen in dashing red.
5) “Disney in the Stars” Fireworks
The most awaited attraction that you SHOULD NOT miss. This feature transforms the sky above Sleeping Beauty’s Castle spectacularly. Alongside with it plays our favorite Disney soundtracks.
- Video Mapping of our favorite Disney films at Aurora’s Castle.

Still could not believe that I have seen this personally when some few years back, I was just sharing these magical things on Twitter; hoping that a genie from a lamp would appear and grant my wish like Aladdin’s.

Indeed, I have been to the happiest place on earth and I am still in awe while writing this. Dreams do really come true.
That was fast! If you want more, my whole Disney experience will be posted in the next few days so keep posted.
See you!
